MODULE 2 AND 3 OF THE MA-URI TRAINING PROGRAMME HELD IN N.Z.

At the moment all beginner training, i.e. Module 1 Training, is held in Europe and Scandinavia and all further training takes place in Aotearoa-New Zealand. Institute Trainers in Norway, Denmark, Hungary, Poland and Lithuania are in charge of teaching the first 4 levels of the Module 1 Training Programme.

Since February 2006 all Module 1 students have been given the opportunity to come to New Zealand to participate in their Module 2 Training. This workshop is of 1 month's duration and is held at Waikare Marae of Te Kapotai tribe in the Bay of Islands area. The last couple of days are spent at the fully carved Meeting House of Terenga Paraoa Marae in Whangarei.

Because the Institute's own Training Centre at Waiotira is still in the process of being built, we are in such privileged position that we can offer the groups of Scandinavian, Polish and Hungarian students their training in the traditional Marae of Hemi's tribe, Te Kapotai, at Waikare. This means that we can bring the training into a MAORI cultural and spiritual context, enabling the students to experience a.o. Maori spiritual beliefs in practice. Here they will be developing the knowledge and deeper understanding of Polynesian elements in MA-URI bodywork, in training methods as well as in client work.
